\ – Why Not Write a New Movie Screenplay Synopsis?
If you have writers block, why not write a movie screenplay. Now then, here is one I just wrote and you cannot have it, but it might make you think and perhaps, cause you to come up with even a better screen play. Here it goes;
NASA is planning to build a space colony on Mars, and to practice, and learn about the psychological aspects of people being cooped up in a space module on the surface of the planet for long periods of time, and also practice being able to produce their own oxygen and food, and recycle all of their waste in a perfectly circular habitat, they have sent one group of people several hundred feet underwater in a remote area of the ocean. And they have sent the other folks to the South Pole and dropped them off for five years.
Each isolated practice colony has been given full Internet access by satellite, although it turns out to be rather sketchy over time, eventually not working at all. They are also equipped with virtual reality gaming systems of the future to help them cope with their isolation. Unfortunately, while they are out there completely isolated; a Swine Flu/Ebola virus, which was a Chinese military experiment gone wrong, which was created by former Soviet Union bio-weapon scientists in conjunction with the Chinese got away from itself, and it spread around the world, in three different waves during the normal flu seasons, and it eventually killed 99% of the population of humans over a 2 and a half year period, and it also killed many of the animals that are close to our DNA or share a significant amount of DNA components.
After the five years is up, and in the case of a severe problem from an underwater volcano, just prior to the end of the five years, the humans in these practice space colonies are ready to come home. But there is no one alive to help them, no contact from the outside world. As they make their way back to civilization everywhere they go everyone is dead. The group from the South Pole is able to get across the ice and cold ocean during the summer months to the tip of South America and into Tierra del Fuego, and hike back all the way to the United States.
They attempt to use vehicles and filter the gasoline which has separated and gone bad, the domesticated animals have turned into packs of hungry hunters, and they are constantly threatened by all kinds of things on their journey.
The others at the bottom of the sea are able to get to a small island, get into a bigger boat, and sell themselves back to America. Their long journey back is one of total survival on their own, as a team. Not all of them make it. However, the ones which do are horrified with what they see, but are relieved to find that there are others still alive, the virus is gone having burned itself out, along with 99% of the population. Please consider all this.
